Schongau (12,449 inhabitants) is a city in the Bavarian district Weilheim-Schongau. It lies at the West bank of the Lechs in the Pfaffenwinkel. This popular old town was established in Lechberg and is today regularly visited by tourists. In Schongau, two federal highways cross.
